Educamus Tuition provides one-to-one maths tuition across Edinburgh, from Primary through to Higher, with Advanced Higher tuition available online.
Students work with the same tutor each week, either at home or through our online classroom. Start with a free consultation and a course consultant will get back to you within 24 hours.
One to one, never a group
Every student starts in a different place. Some need help filling gaps from earlier years. Others understand the subject but struggle with exam technique, confidence or particular topics.
Before tuition begins, an Educamus course consultant speaks to you about the student’s current level, what they are finding difficult, what they want to achieve and the type of tutor likely to suit them.
We then match them with a tutor who stays with them throughout their tuition. Sessions can take place at home in Edinburgh or online, with regular progress updates as the course develops.
If the first tutor is not the right fit, the next session with a different tutor is free.
Educamus provides maths tuition from Primary through to Higher, including National 4, National 5 and Applications of Maths. Advanced Higher and post-16 tuition is available online.
Support with the core skills that later maths depends on, including times tables, place value, fractions, arithmetic and problem solving.
For some pupils the priority is catching up. For others it is simply building confidence and making maths feel more manageable.
P1 to P7One-to-one support with the National 5 course, from algebra and trigonometry to geometry, statistics and exam technique.
Tutors can focus sessions around the topics a student finds hardest while also working through past-paper questions as exams approach.
S4, also National 4Higher moves quickly and builds heavily on National 5 knowledge.
Our tutors can help with areas such as differentiation, integration, vectors, algebra and trigonometry, while working on the speed and accuracy needed for Higher exams.
S5 and S6Advanced Higher students can work online with tutors who have the specialist subject knowledge needed for topics including matrices, complex numbers, calculus and proof.

Online onlySupport with the practical maths covered by Applications of Maths and Numeracy, including money, statistics, measurement and problem solving.
Tuition is based around the course the student is actually studying and the areas where they need help.
National 4 and 5Educamus also supports Edinburgh students studying GCSE and A Level Maths through English examination boards, as well as some college and university maths courses.

Figures come from the results families reported back to Educamus after the 2026 SQA exams. The national A to C rate this year was 76.7% at Higher and 79.2% at National 5, and maths students with a recorded starting grade improved by 1.4 grades on average.

Educamus generally recommends at least one hour of tuition each week.
If you need to cancel, give us as much notice as possible and we will try to move the session to another date at no additional cost. Sessions cancelled within 24 hours may still be charged. Where a refund is due, it will be processed within three working days.

Educamus provides home maths tuition across Edinburgh and many of the surrounding areas.
Home tuition depends on having a suitable tutor available in your area at a time that works for you. If we cannot provide a local home tutor, online tuition is available anywhere in Edinburgh and across Scotland.

Yes. Educamus tutors are vetted and PVG compliant under Scotland’s Protecting Vulnerable Groups scheme.
Our tutor network includes qualified teachers, professional tutors and strong university students. We also work with Glasgow University Rocketry, which has helped us bring additional STEM tutors into the network.
We provide tuition for Primary Maths, S1 to S3 Broad General Education, National 4, National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Maths, as well as Applications of Maths and Numeracy.
GCSE Maths, A Level Maths and some college and university maths tuition are also available online.

Some students prefer having a tutor sitting beside them at home. Others are completely comfortable working online.
Online tuition also gives us a wider pool of tutors to choose from, which can be particularly useful for Higher, Advanced Higher and specialist subjects.
